Tom Aspinall has admitted that UFC Heavyweight Title Unification delays against Jon Jones has become mentally more difficult than the most difficult time in his career.
Tom Aspinall has been on the sidelines for almost a year, with his last fight as an interim defense against Curtis Blaydes on UFC 304 in July.
The British star has waited for a possible announcement of a title Unification Fight against Jones, who continues to slow down the negotiations.
Despite the recent hint of Jones at his retirement, he went to social media not long afterwards in an attempt to relieve the worries of fans, referring to a return to the UFC.

Tom Aspinall makes disturbing admission about Jon Jones trailings
The 37-year-old champion apparently has no regrets about the constant delays and tells fans to 'cry more' when she was told to stop postponing Aspinall's career.
Jones is accused of 'mentally tiring' Aspinall by his former opponent, Anthony Smith, who claimed that 'Bones' is a master in that exactly.
And in a recent interview with Demetrious Johnson, the interim champion admitted that the constant delays had been mentally more difficult than when he experienced a career-bedrigent injury.
In the first meeting of the 32-year-old against Blaydes in 2022, the fight came to an awkward ending when Aspinall sustained a brutal injury to his knee, who sidelined him for more than a year.
Since then, the Brit has opened how mentally burdensome it was to be out of operation for so long, unable to train and compete.
“It was clearly devastating to be injured for everyone and such. But anyway, it was a difficult time for me. Came back, took me for a year with the rehabilitation … so it was a tough few months of mental.
“But I always had a small goal to work towards. Now I have been inactive for almost a year without going anything else than waiting. So now this is actually a bit more difficult for me mentally than then.
“I constantly had small goals to work towards, while it is now like:” Good, just be ready and we let you know “, it is a bit difficult mentally,” he continued.
