Tom Aspinall proved he is more than a KO machine by tapping top contender at UFC London

73% of the 15 Pro-MMA victories of Tom Aspinall came through KO/TKO, although his best stop tax ever in the UFC is ticking of one 'drago'.

This weekend the UFC returns to London, England, for a solid fighting night card with head by former champion Leon Edwards against the rising American competition Sean Brady.

The event marks the sixth time that the promotion has organized a map in 'Blighty' since the Global Pandemic, with undoubtedly the best of the couple that Tom Aspinall's sensational homecoming Triumph is in 2022.

Tom Aspinall's best submission victory arrived at UFC Homecoming

On the way to his very first UFC Main Event, Tom Aspinall had unbridled through the heavyweight division; Winning all four of his opening of four fights in a devastating way.

His biggest test (both metaphorically and physically) arrived in March 2022 against 6 ft 7 “Reus, Alexander Volkov – as evidenced by the fact that it was 'almost even' with the bookmakers.

Despite the challenge of making his greatest and most experienced opponent so far, Aspinall briefly worked on the huge 'drago' – illuminating the big man on the feet before he proves that he is not just a knockout machine.

Only a minute in the opening round succeeded in stumbling in Volkov van de Clinch and spent the next minute raining elbows from the top position.

Although Volkov succeeded in scrambling his way back to his feet, it was not long before the Russian was on his back – with Aspinall skillfully avoiding two strikes to go into hiding for another removal.

This time the British Juggernaut did not intend to let the position go; Insulating the extensive left arm of Volkov and stretching to achieve the straight Armbar victory – the fourth entry of his career.

During the press conference after the fight, Dana White would rightly greet the performance of Aspinall as one of the best he had ever seen of a top heavyweight competition.

'He fought a real [tough] Guy who saw it all, sustainable, large, Rangy, kicks hard, and he went inside and made it easy. This boy will break into the top 5 this week, and now he is in the conversation to combat the best heavyweights in the world.

“He could not have made a larger and better explanation than tonight.”

Alexander Volkov says that Aspinall is the 'real champion' about Jon Jones

In the aftermath of his first round entry victory, it felt as if the entire MMA community got up to cheer Aspinall for what a really sensational victory was for his home crowd.

That includes Alexander Volkov himself, who later claimed at the UFC 310 press conference that Aspinall represented the 'real champion' about Jon Jones.

“In my opinion, Tom earns more the championship belt than Jones. I can't say that Jon Jones is a bad hunter or that he can't beat Aspinall … But Jon Jones cut the line a bit, you know, he went from his first fight with Ciryl Gane for the belt.

“I think Tom Aspinall deserves [undisputed] more.”

Aspinall vs Jones goes to the rumor for the summer, although we still get an official confirmation of the unification.
