Tom Aspinall reacts to Alex Pereira ‘teasing’ UFC heavyweight debut with latest weigh-in

Alex Pereira vs. Tom Aspinall, someone?

Former UFC -light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira is a bit of a intersection in his illustrious combat sport career.

After four title profits in less than a year, Pereira lost his world title to Magomed Ankalaev by decision on UFC 313 in March. It is impossible to say whether we will get an immediate rematch between the two, because the current champion Ankalaev has suggested that 'Patan' wants a break of fighting.

Pereira, 38, could possibly switch to the heavyweight division as he has previously spoken, which recently stepped on a scale on 247 pounds.

UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall says that Pereira 'knew what he was doing' with his weighting.

Tom Aspinall responds to Alex Pereira with a weight of 247 pounds

Aspinall has fought 300 with Pereira since UFC, where he stared down Pereira from Cageside.

Pereira is one of the biggest draws in the UFC today and although Aspinall seems to have booked his next fight, he would not mind welcoming the 247 LB -Superster in the future in heavyweight.

“Yes, every fight is interesting for me,” Aspinall said about the potential fighting against Pereira in an interview with Eurosport.

“I don't need much to be seduced in a fight with someone. I'm the easiest man [to take a fight].

“If I were him, I would like to get the light heavyweight belt back. But I am not him, so I don't know.

“I think the weight thing, the man and his team know what they are doing on social media,” Aspinall said about Pereira's latest weighing video.

“They know how to get the headlines on social media, which is good.

“As far as I know, that is very normal for him and larger light heavyweights to get to 240, 250 [lbs]. Maybe he just teases it, “Aspinall suggested.

Henry Cejudo says that Tom Aspinall has to fight Derrick Lewis afterwards

Former second division champion Henry Cejudo wants to see Aspinall in the cage locked up with 'The Black Beast' Derrick Lewis.

Ranked #9 in the division, Lewis's name dived back in the title interview after his TKO victory on the 6'7 ″ Tallison Teixeira on UFC Nashville.

#1 candidate Ciryl Gane will probably get the following title opportunities against Aspinall, but Cejudo claims that he should not do that, given his controversial split decision victory over Alexander Volkov on UFC 310.

“It should be Tom Aspinall vs Derrick Lewis,” wrote Cejudo on X.

“The fans would certainly prefer it, and Lewis would mean more to the CV of Aspinall than Gane.

“How could you build a fight between Aspinall and Gane when Gane lost his last fight and Dana said to Volkov outside the cage” You have f—. “

“Leave Aspinall/Lewis Headline UFC 322 at MSG,” suggested Cejudo.
