UFC Interim heavyweight title holder Tom Aspinall threw a subtle puncture to the recent Flip-Flops of Jon Jones on retirement.
Tom Aspinall recently broke the record for the longest interim line rule of the UFC while he continues to wait for Jon Jones's decision about a comeback. Aspinall and Jones have exchanged almost two full years of a possible collision in the Octagon, and months after the last fight of Jones on UFC 309, negotiations remain silent.
While UFC CEO Dana White remains trust in the Jones vs. Aspinall Fight that is booked for later this year, the two heavy weights enjoy some time away from the competition. Jones was supposed to coach Nate Diaz on a spider -off of the ultimate hunter, but after the leave of Diaz from the show, he enjoys a holiday in Thailand.
In the midst of the long wait for news about the Jones fight, Aspinall continues to mock his potential opponent on social media.

Aspinall made the headlines on Monday when he placed a cryptic 'heavyweight news' promo on his Instagram, so many fans believed that there was an announcement of the Vecht. But Aspinall later receded this story and said that White and the matchmakers will announce his next fight at an unknown time.
Jones flipped in a series of recent tweets, pointing to 'Living his best life' in Thailand in the midst of uncertainty about his fighting future. After seeing Jones's recent comments, it didn't take long before Aspinall responded, but he did it in an indirect way.
In a recent Instagram remark, Aspinall placed a follow-up with a veiled recording on one of Jones's recent comments.
“Sorry guys, I am fighting for a new belt. Interim of the interim BMF UFC Heavyweight title,” Aspinall noted.
'Leading my best life [FIRE]. “
The constant waiting for a heavyweight announcement of title fight led thousands of fans to adjust a petition for the UFC to strip Jones van de Riem. The petition, organized via Change.org, has collected nearly 100,000 signatures from worse fans.

Fans are not the only ones who are increasingly agitated with the stagnant position of Jones on top of the heavyweight division. UFC Heavyweight Competent Alexander Volkov recently expressed frustration about the lack of action of the UFC to help the division ahead.
Volkov lost a controversial split decision to UFC 310 in Ciryl Gane, despite White and the matchmakers who believed that he was being robbed of the jury's scorecards. If Jones abandoned or stripped, an undisputed heavyweight title fight between Aspinall and Volkov can be logical.
Aspinall previously defeated Volkov in their career in March 2022 and earned a first round entry. Aspinall has won three straight fights since he injured his leg against Curtis Blaydes in July 2022.
