Tom Aspinall looks forward to continuing with the next phase of his career, but he must be busy in the meantime.
Jon Jones has suggested a shocking UFC referee by announcing that he is back in the UFC test pool after his retirement was officially made a little more than two weeks ago.
Although Aspinall claims that he knew that Jones would not come back and fight him for a while, the Brit could not be as active as he would like.
After Aspinall has been promoted to the undisputed heavyweight champion, Aspinall has clarified that the belt was always his main goal, not a title Unification Bout with 'Bones'.
The champion wants to keep the rest of 2025 busy to make up for the lost time, but unfortunately he does not get the last word.

Tom Aspinall Verbijsts his time by cleaning the gym pending UFC to announce his next fight
In a recent interview with Adam Catterall for one on one, Tom Aspinall stated that the wheels are starting to run again in the heavyweight division of the UFC.
The undisputed champion met the promotion during the International Fight Week, where it seems as if there are plans for his first title defense.
Aspinall revealed that he has already received an opponent and a date and although he is unable to announce those details, he finally has something to work towards.
“I have a fight now, that will be announced. Unfortunately that is not my job, but at least we have a date, we have an opponent to work towards. Everything is good. It is very happy with that. I can finally let my career go again.”
While Aspinall referred to his next opponent as “the most dangerous man I will ever have to fight”, both the champion and the fans must wait patiently until the UFC makes an announcement.
Despite the fact that he finally has what he wants, a fight to focus on, the 32-year-old awaits his time until the promotion makes their heavyweight plans public.
In a video that was placed on his Tiktok profile, Aspinall saw the mats clean in the gym next to the caption “Waiting for the UFC to announce my next fight as …”
Many expect Ciryl Gane to be the first undisputed heavyweight title defense of Tom Aspinall
Although neither Tom Aspinall or the UFC have confirmed that Ciryl Gane will be his first challenger, the Frenchman seems to be in pole position.
The two men have been associated with combating each other for some time, but the matchup has not been released in recent years.
In Gane's recent activity on social media, he shared a video of him that worked specifically on his struggle in the gym with a different message that suggests that he recently had something new.
Gane fought for the last time in December, where he beat Alexander Volkov controversially through a split decision on UFC 310.
