Tom Aspinall anticipates Jones Retirement U-Turn
Jones is almost guaranteed an immediate title shot if he ever decides to make a UFC co -back.
For that reason, Aspinall refuses to completely exclude a fight with the 37-year-old American legend.
“With where he is, he can jump the queue when he wants,” he said in the diary of a CEO podcast.
“A year later we let three or four contenders beat [the door] For a title shot.
“Every time someone likes him, step up and say,” Look, I want to fight again. “They get an immediate title shot, so I will never count that.”
Aspinall then charted a situation in which Jones would return for a fight with him.
He added: “I am in a place in my career where there are not so many images on me.
“Maybe he sees something on me in the next few fights, and he thinks:” You know what? I can beat this guy. I come back and beat him '.
“Mentally, I never count that. The fight can always pop up and return to me.
“That is clearly something that I would accept.”
Tom Aspinall cleans up the confusion
Aspinall insists that he did not fight Jones in the past year.
The only thing he wanted was to be the undisputed champion, and Jones was the man who stood in the way.
“Many people get confused in the last 10 months, [they think] That I pursued Jon Jones, “concluded Aspinall.
“That was never the case. I hunted the undisputed heavyweight title.
“If I get the chance to put Jon Jones on my resume, I accept that with open arms, but if not, I am satisfied.
“I'm moving forward and creating my own legacy without him.”
