Tommy Fury has resumed talks for a rematch with Jake Paul, just days after pulling out of his ring return.
The Love Island star and undefeated professional boxer defeated Paul in February last year to hand the American his only loss. He then defeated KSI at a Misfits Boxing event in October before taking a year off to recover from hand surgery.
He was scheduled to return on January 18 against former UFC welterweight title contender Darren Till at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester. But following a comment at his opponent's press conference, in which he claimed he would be head-kicked if he lost, Fury withdrew last week.
Tommy Fury declares he is open to talks with Jake Paul
After staying quiet in recent days following his withdrawal from January's comeback, Tommy Fury returned to social media to take aim at Jake Paul. He hit back at claims that he was offered $8 million for a fight on Netflix, which ultimately went to Mike Tyson.
“Right, so I just woke up and saw Logan Paul on his podcast again talking about how I don't want to fight Jake and how I'm scared,” Fury said in an Instagram story, referencing an episode of Logan's Impulsive podcast.

“I saw Jake tweet the other day about how he offered me X, Y and Z on Netflix. I just wanted to come out here and say that no one is running from that fight. I've already defeated you once, I've dealt you your first loss.
“The moment you stepped up and fought a real boxer, you lost fair and square. I can give you a second loss, that's no problem, but let's talk some serious numbers on the phone. If you want to get in touch, you know where I am. It's that simple. I can come back after a year and beat you.
Jake Paul punches Tommy Fury after the call
Almost immediately after the video's release, Paul's younger brother took to social media to hit back at Fury's call. He repeated claims that he had offered the Love Islander $8 million to fight on Netflix, before claiming some other issues about his rival's behind-the-scenes life.
“What an absolute muppet,” Paul wrote. “Buddy, you just pulled out of a fight for the third time. You have ZERO credibility. I offered you $8 million and you walked away from it. And now you've been dumped by Molly, sued by DAZN and still can't stand a chance without your dad GTFOH.
Paul is referring to Tommy's father John Fury, who is responsible for most of his career. 'Big John' is a divisive figure in the boxing world, often managing to steal the spotlight from his sons Tommy and two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
Tommy Fury pulled out of the fight against Darren Till due to the threat at the press conference
Last week, Tommy Fury claimed he was pulling out of his planned fight with Darren Till at the Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester. He claimed this was due to the MMA fighter's claim that if he lost the fight, he would simply kick his rival in the head.
Fury wrote on Instagram stories: “I can't believe I'm writing this but I'm not fighting Darren Till on January 18, 2025.

“The one simple reason is that Darren has stated time and time again that he does not want to play by professional boxing rules and that if he loses the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics.
“I'm a professional boxer, I've been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans. I wasted weeks at training camp.
“We are working hard to find a new opponent and date. I promise I will get a better opponent and fight better for you. Good news around the corner.”
