Toni Kroos claims ‘Real Madrid are missing a player like me’ under Xabi Alonso

Former Real Madrid -Superster Toni Kroos has opened what Xabi Alonso is missing in his current Los Blancos team.

Alonso was immediately installed as the replacement of Carlo Ancelotti at the end of May with the former Spain International thrown into the deep at the FIFA Club World Cup.

The club has already supported Alonso in the summer transfer market with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen Landen from Liverpool and Bournemouth.

Argentina International Franco Mastantuono will complete his move to Madrid when he turns 18 in August, but more new faces are expected.

Kroos and Alonso never played famous together in Madrid, while in 2014 they crossed paths with the first on their way to the Estadio Santiago Benabeu while Alonso replaced him in Bayern Munich.

Kroos has become a pronounced figure on Real Madrid after his retirement last summer and he is clear about what is currently missing.

“They still miss a profile like mine, they are still looking for it.

“It is too early to assess Xabi's Real Madrid. It takes time to evaluate the changes and implementation of his ideas.

“I am sure that Xabi knows how to correct things because there are things that have to change because with so much quality – things have to go well.”

The current answer does not seem to be based on a number of factors.

Defense is seen as the most important area that Alonso wants to strengthen with Benfica's Alvaro Carreras still a target despite the form of Fran Garcia in the US.

Florentino Perez reportedly blocked the urge of Alonso for Martin Zubimendi – where Arsenal now completed a deal for the Basque playmaker – and his old team may not listen to Kroos's advice.
