Real Madrid had a terrible night against Arsenal on Tuesday, and they are now staring along the course of a Champions League-Exit-to-if they can overcome a shortage of three goals in next week's return bone in the Santiago Bernabeu.
It was a bad version of Real Madrid in North Londs, and especially in the second half. They were completely flooded by Arsenal, with a goal that never liked after the hosts scored their first. And it was this aspect that really disappointed one of their former players.
Toni Kroos spoke on his Einfach Mal Luppen Podcast (via Sport), Toni Kroos gave his opinion about the terrible display of Real Madrid against Arsenal. In his opinion, the most worrying that Carlo Ancelotti was the inability to collect a response after permission.
“After it went to 2-0, it seemed that everything was lost. From my experience, when Real Madrid loses in a game, there is always a phase in which you feel that a goal can be scored.
“The team must give its best (in the second stage). And the Bernabeu Memid will be there. We have to print non-stop from the first quarter.”
There is no doubt that Real Madrid and Ancelotti have a big job at the Bernabeu on Wednesday, but it has been told that no one has eradicated them in completing a comeback in the quarterfinals. But as Kroos said, a good start is needed to give himself the best chance, because a quick -fired goal would put Arsenal under serious pressure.
It is still to see whether Real Madrid can react, but if so, it would be better than never.
