Modric, Kroos and Casemiro were the support point of the success of Real Madrid in his own country and in Europe and he is considered one of the greatest midfielders of all time.
Prior to the El Clasico confrontation with Barcelona on 11 May, the 35-year-old, however, chose a former rival for huge praise.

“For me, a player like Pedri is more important than Lamine Yamal, Raphinha or Lewandowski. They are the ones who determine the outcome of competitions.
“Pedri is a player who misses you if he doesn't play, regardless of who you play. He not only scores goals, he not only offers assists. He offers solutions.
“I watched what Pedri is doing this season, and in the Champions League he runs out of his opponents in every match!
“It's not like with Messi, where you see his speed of movement. Pedri doesn't look that fast, but he's really. And he is fast because of how easy it is for him!”
