Toni Kroos cannot understand that.
Bayern's transfer policy is currently attracting criticism from some fans. Now the former player in Munich has also spoken in his podcast “Einfach Mal Luppen” and regretted a missed transfer.
The person in question is Enzo Millot (23). The Frenchman has been transferred from VFB Stuttgart to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia for around 30 million euros. Kroos emphasizes in his podcast: “I would have signed it for Bayern.”
Then our world champion praises: “Millot is really a very, very good player.” And: “He was decisive at VFB. A top player.”
According to Bild information, Millot was offered to Bayern officials even before his transfer, but the German record champion was not interested. The Frenchman could have been obtained for just under 20 million euros through a release clause.
It is clear: not only Kroos sees transfer errors at Bayern, but also striker star Harry Kane (32) publicly sounded the alarm about the team after the 2: 1 victory in the Supercup against Stuttgart: “It is probably one of the smallest squadrons I have ever played. We are a little thin staff, but that is not in the hands of the players.” Very unusual for the captain of England.
Various top clubs had shown interest in Millot, including Atlético Madrid, with whom the negotiations took place. In the end, however, the midfield star decided to leave Europe and go to the desert.
A decision that Kroos does not like at all. The former player: “That hurt me a bit.” Then he reveals: “He will probably come back there every now and then and then come back and see what is left. That is a very good player with a rather simple decision. I was irritated about that.”
As “Sky” reports, Millot earns ten million euros annually -Netto in Saudi Arabia. That would make him one of the absolute top earners in the Bundesliga.
