Tony Ferguson left Donald Cerrone with gruesome injury before doctor stopped record-setting final UFC win

The last UFC victory of Tony Ferguson came to typical brutal fashion six years ago.

'El Cucuy' is generally considered one of the best light weights in the MMA history -but he was never a real UFC champion after a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov to miss five times during his iconic career.

Eight losses preceded his release of the UFC and shock movement to the Global Fight Leuge.

Tony Ferguson will be confronted with Dillon Danis if he will make his GFF debut at a certain moment in 2025.

Tony Ferguson picked up Donald Cerrone in the last UFC victory

Tony Ferguson has never really recovered from the five -round he took at UFC 249 in May 2020.

Justin Gaethje brought him into submission to start his record-string corner with losing streak.

No one has suffered more than the eight consecutive defeats that Ferguson did at the end of his UFC career.

Until recently, nobody had won as many consecutive fights as the 41-year-old at the height of his powers.

Edson Barboza, Rafael Dos Anjos, Kevin Lee and Anthony Pettis were all short of top form Ferguson.

The Favorite of the UFC fan extended his profit reak to a records setting 12 in a row when he fought against Cerrone.

Of course the two men rowed during their 10 -minute fight on UFC 238 in June 2019.

Towards the end of the second round, Ferguson was in the predominance and Cerrone was caught.

'Cowboy' made things worse by blowing out his nose, making his damaged eye closed.

Then the UFC doctor stepped in and waved the fight to give Ferguson a historic victory.

Tony Ferguson loses record to Islam Makhachev

Khabib Nurmagomedov corresponded to his Rivals 12-Fight Lightweight Streak before retired in October 2020.

Since then, Islam Makhachev has surpassed both men by picking up 15 wins in a row in the division.

The current lightweight King and Pound-for-Pound number one shows no signs of delay.

By the time he is ready, it seems likely that the new win streak of 155LB will be almost 20.

Makhachev quickly entered Renato Moicano to prove his greatness on UFC 311 in January.

Ilia Topuria fought for a shot at the champion after he recently left his UFC -Fedweight title.

Only the time will tell who UFC boss Dana White will decide to match the lightweight goat.
