Tony Ferguson makes a bold claim about how Ilia Topuria would have fared against ‘prime’ Conor McGregor

Tony Ferguson has given his prediction for a UFC fantasy fight that recently entered into a conversation.

Ilia Topuria came to Illustrious Company at the international Fight Week at the end of June by becoming the last that two Glorie division reached in the leading promotion of MMA.

He achieved the performance in the main event on 28 June, with Topuria that eliminated Charles Oliveira on UFC 317 to follow his short feather weight by immediately winning the lightweight crown.

The result also made him the second man who won both the 145 and 155 pound titles in the UFC, in the footsteps of the leading superstar of the sport, Conor McGregor. That fact did not talk about a fantasy matchup, and two prominent names belong to those of team 'notorious'.

Tony Ferguson says that Conor McGregor would have 'treated' at best Ilia Topuria

Both Arman Tsarukyan and Tony Ferguson appeared on a recent hype FC press conference and gave their choices for a fantasy settlement between Topuria and McGregor. 'El Cucuy' coaches against the best UFC light weight competition in the reality TV series of the Russian promotion.

Tsarukyan, who is one of those who compete for the first shot to rid Topuria at 155 pounds, was the first to reveal his prediction.

“Prime Conor, because of his elusive, because of his distance management,” Tsarukyan said.

“He was not hit at all at all. He didn't let anyone touch him.”

Ferguson, who enjoyed his first years as McGregor, shared that sentiment.

“I heard you (Tsarukyan) speak that he likes to keep his reach, right? Like, Conor is a bit different from a hunter,” Ferguson started.

“Ilia seems to be a bit more a setback, you know? He cut Charles while he walked into it right away. He has bumps in bunches.

“But Conor is the same way,” Ferguson continued. “He likes to wait for everyone, be ready. So I think that if Conor was at the top of his game, he is a little more Rangy, wearing a little more weight. I think he would probably probably go with Ilia.”

Ferguson was long considered a likely opponent for McGregor. During campaign for the matchup, 'El Cucuy' once accused the Irish of the fact that he was 'terrified' to see him opposite.

Paddy Pimblett went one step further with his Ilia Topuria vs. Conor McGregor Prediction

It is safe to say that the greatest rival of Topuria is now Paddy Pimblett. The couple has long and the voltage between them only grew during a heated fight in the cage at UFC 317.

Then 'The Baddy' also gave his opinion about how Topuria would have done it against a “Prime” McGregor while spoke to UFC unfiltered.

He went one step further than both Tsarukyan and Ferguson when Pimblett predicted that McGregor Ko Topuria would.

“I think some people can see through that. Even though you see some people now say that he is better than McGregor, but he is not.

“In their flowering, McGregor would at the same time have switched him off with a straight left.”
