Tony Ferguson is still desperate to go against each other with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The lightweight duo was linked to each other five times during their legendary UFC career.
A series of incredibly unfortunate events meant that they never squared in the Octagon.
Khabib Nurmagomedov retired in 2020, and he has since hit Comeback talk – but Tony Ferguson has an idea that the bitter rivals will enable their beef to finally arrange without one of those who throw a single punch.

Tony Ferguson & Khabib Nurmagomedov as tuf coaches?
On Tuesday the Ultimate Fighter 33 with Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen started as coaches.
Tony Ferguson attended a media event to mark the last season of the show that made him.
During a press scrum, 'El Cucuy' threw himself and Khabib Nurmagomedov as future TUF coaches.
“I am the only person who said his father before he died, that this is the fight to make,” Ferguson said.
“Now, regardless of whether it is a fight, struggling or something, I know he retains the word of his father.
“I know I have never spoken about his religion, his wife or someone else who is doing it.
“But I know that the competition keeps it warm. There is no reason why we should not be able to coach against each other at the ultimate hunter.”
Tony Ferguson praises Islam Makhachev
The old rival of Khabib Nurmagomedov also made a huge claim about Islam Makhakev prior to his upcoming debut in Welterweight
Ferguson insists that Makhachev is a better wrestler than the most dominant grappler in the MMA history.
“Someone asked me who I think is a better wrestler from Makhachev and Khabib,” he said Helen Yee.
“I think Makhachev is a better grappler, to be honest. I think he is faster, I think he is a little more timid of the Freestyle that Makhachev presents with Khabib, but I think Makhachev is not going so badly at 170 pounds, it will be fine.”
