‘Too easy’ … Stipe Miocic avenged only decision loss by KO’ing ex-UFC champ

Eight years ago today the Day of UFC Miocic laid one of his greatest rivals in no time.

The retired dual UFC champion heavyweight was All-Action in his first title run, where he won five consecutive fights through Knockout, four who came within the opening round.

Stipe Miocic soon became one of, if not the greatest heavyweight of all time, by establishing the record for the most heavyweight title defenses with a five -round dominance by Francis Ngannou in 2018.

Just before that, Miocic cast one of his two career losses to former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos – the only man who beat Miocic about the distance in 25 fights.

Stipe Miocic Turned Kill switch on Junior Dos Santos in 2 minutes

Dos Santos defeated Miocic in the Main Event of Five-Round of UFC on FOX 13 in 2014. Both men received 'Fight of the Night'.

The heavyweights would run back years later for the title on UFC 211 on 13 May 2017 in Dallas, Texas, the same night Joanna Jedrzejczyk set a UFC title record against Jessica Andrade.

Dos Santos broke away from Miocic with brutal legs who were the champion afterwards.

After eating a few kicks, Miocic quickly tried to close the distance and threw combos with JDS back to the cage.

Miocic continued to chase Dos Santos on the feet and for two minutes in the round, Miocic shot a right hand who received the attention of the former champion. With Dos Santos' back to the cage, Miocic broke him with a right hand who sent him to the canvas. (View the Ko in Slow-MO at 2:02)

Miocic Teed off DOS Santos with soil and pound, looking at the referee, herb decane, to stop the match before he finally did.

“Too f— – Easy!” Said Miocic while he celebrated on top of the cage.

Joe Rogan said Stipe Miocic's Shin was a 'mess' of legs kicks

Miocic ran his last loss against DOS Santos within a few minutes, but the champion did not get out of the fight.

Miocic's Shin was heavily bruised by the leg kick attacks of Dos Santos.

“His shin is a mess,” said UFC commentator Joe Rogan about Miocic Post-Fight.

“I mean, it almost looks like it's broken,” Rogan added.

“That was sucked,” said Miocic about the leg of Dos Santos in his interview after the fight.

“That was terrible, it hurt. It was a good game plan,” Miocic added.
