‘Too many beatings’… Michael Chandler told to retire by UFC legend after Paddy Pimblett loss

Michael Chandler is at a crossroads after his loss against Paddy Pimblett on UFC 314.

The career of the former triple Bellator Lightweight Champion as a top candidate seems to be over after he was on his way to a shock loss of the third round in Miami, Florida, on Saturday evening.

UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping called his latest loss a 'career murderer' before former champion with two weight Henry Cejudo went one step further by telling 'Iron' to consider walking away from MMA.

Michael Chandler advised to retire by Henry Cejudo

Cejudo also runs on a three-fighter loss streak while preparing for a final UFC competition.

'Triple C' is of the opinion that Chandler should retire with him after his devastating loss at UFC 314.

“I think Chandler should only have one fight, man. I really do it,” said Cejudo on the Pound4Pound champion that he shares with former UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. “I think we should go with retirement, perhaps on the same card.

“If I am Michael Chandler, yes, I would retire, Bro. Those are too many successes, guy.

“It doesn't even take l's, he takes elbows to the face, he is always cut and bloody.

“He will be loved by people, but he has lost all his fights and people just forget it.”

Michael Chandler's UFC -Run …

In September 2021, Chandler Dan Hooker destroyed with Left Hook to win 'one of the best UFC debut ever'.

A lightweight title fight with Charles Oliveira followed. Chandler started extremely well and almost ended 'Do Bronx in the first round, but in the end he was eliminated at the start of the second frame.

The UFC 314 -star bounced back with a sensational front -kick ko -winning on Tony Ferguson in May 2022.

Since then, the 38-year-old consecutive fighting has lost against Dustin Poirier, Oliveira and Pimblett.

It is currently unclear what the future in store for Chandler is more than 16 years old as MMA hunter.
