One of the best UFC light weights mocked Justin Gaethje for his post-PUC 313 title shot statement.
UFC-Superster Justin Gaethje returned to the Octagon with an impressive version against Rafael Fiziev in the UFC 313 Co-Main event last Saturday. Only a few days after he was back in the win, Gaethje knew exactly what he wants for his next UFC booking.
After exhausting Fiziev by a unanimous decision last weekend, Gaethje is back in the lightweight title mix after he had appeared firmly when Max Holloway hit him at UFC 300 last year. Many wondered whether or not the knockout loss for Holloway would lead to a different scary defeat on UFC 313.
But hours after UFC 313, Gaethje called for a shot at the title despite a loss of an 'exhibition fight' less than a year ago.

Gaethje made the headlines on Monday when he sent a targeted message to Dana White with regard to his next fight. He called for the next title shot against Islam Makhakev after winning three of his last four fights and helped to add a boost to UFC 300 last year.

In a recent answer to X, Arman Tsarukyan defeated the post-puck 313 title group of Gaethje.
“You hardly passed #11 in the short term, and you were sent to the shady. If you really want to be the #1 competition and want to fight for the belt, you first have to go through me, “Tsarukyan replied to Gaethje.
Tsarukyan was believed to be confronted with Makhachev in the Main Event of UFC 311 before he withdraws to the cancellation period due to a back injury. White and the UFC Brass want Tsarukyan to fight against another top candidate, possibly Gaethje, before visiting a lightweight title shot.
Surprisingly, Tsarukyan accepted the posture of the UFC in his next fight and is aimed at a good fit for his next booking. Before he was supposed to be confronted against Makhachev, Tsarukyan defeated former title holder Charles Oliveira at UFC 300.

Another complicated element of the lightweight title mix is Ilia Topuria, who announced a move to the division after completing Holloway on UFC 308. He could possibly get the next title shot or get another top candidate for his lightweight.
The UFC matchmakers have expressed vague positions at the location of Topuria in the lightweight title photo. Although it is possible that he will meet Makhachev later this year, White did not exclude from Topuria who participated in a number 1 competition before he gets a title shot.
Alexander Volkanovski and Diego Lopes will fight next month for Topuria's empty belt of featherweight on UFC 314.
Gaethje is 0-2 in linear UFC title fights during his career, with losses to Khabib Nurmagomedov and Oliveira. He won the BMF -Riem by eliminating Dustin Poirier on UFC 291, and although Poirier is expected to retire later this year, Gaethje has excluded a potential trilogy.
Tsarukyan, Gaethje and Topuria all make strong cases for the next lightweight title shot. In the meantime, a no. 1 candidate between Tsarukyan and Gaethje can be very logical.
