Tottenham aim dig at Jamie Carragher after being left red-faced over Brentford prediction

Tottenham's social media team Jamie Carragher enjoyed the pleasure after the pundit claimed that he would be “shocked” if they would beat Brentford he was left Red-Face after the men of Ange Postecoglou had won a 2-0 victory .

Spurs achieved their first victory in eight games with an impressive display in the G-Tech Community Stadium thanks to its own goal from Vitaly Janelt and a late strike by Pape Sarr.

Tottenham was flooded by a crisis before the game left to the 16th in the Premier League after 13 defeats, but the words of Carragher were particularly brutal when he made his prediction before the kick -off.

The Liverpool legend told Sky Sports that he was afraid of Spurs after he had seen them in defense with Archie Gray and Ben Davies as an improvised center-back combination. He said: “I will be absolutely shocked if Tottenham wins there today. If I look back four, they are decimated.

'They took a defender [Kevin Danso] in. I thought Van de Ven would be involved today. Of course they lost their keeper, they brought one [Antonin Kinsky]But if you actually look at that Tottenham four, I will be surprised if they allow less than three if they admit less than three today.

“I do not criticize them his young children; Ben Davies is in it, he is not a center-back, he is a left back. Archie Grey is brilliant for them, he is an 18-year-old child away to Brentford, set pieces, long balls, what you have to deal with like a center back … “

Spurs then teased Carragher on their Tiktok account when they placed his reactions before the game, followed by clips from their two goals against Brentford with some playful music in the background.

The clip then ends with Carragher's colleague expert and Arsenal -legend Thierry Henry who looks confused to enjoy Spurs fans, who greeted the team that came with the mail.

A fan wrote: “Our social media team had had enough of Jamie Carragher”, followed by some smiling emojis. Another said: “Calling Henry's begun reaction was brilliant”, while a third added: “@Carra23 are you not surprised/surprised? I just ask.”

Postecoglou greeted Tottenham for pinching a big win with a solid defensive performance, even though he had nine players not available for the game.

“Difficult place to come, difficult place to win, difficult place to keep them out,” he said. “They get throw-ins in the box, set pieces, crosses, you will just have to defend the box, regardless of how you want to approach it tactically, and I just thought the boys were so good.

“I still felt that we had the quality of our football to put them the other way. Our second goal was excellent.”
