Tottenham complete record-breaking transfer for wonderkid after deadline day

Tottenham has announced the signing of Wonderkid striker Mason Melia in a £ 1.5 million deal from St Patrick's Athletic.

Melia, 17, stays with the Dublin Club for the 2025 League of Ireland season and joins Spurs on January 1 next year. At the age of 15 he became the youngest player who ever scored in the Irish top flight and is the very first £ 1 million-plus sale of Ireland.

A clause of 20 percent is also included, with Melia signing a contract until 2031. It concludes a busy winter transfer window for Tottenham, who has signed a total of six players.

The Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky arrived from Slavia Prague for £ 13 million, while Kevin Danso, the international center of Austria, was signed on loan from Lens with an obligation to buy for £ 21 million. On Deadline Day, Spurs Bayern Munich welcomed Mathys Tel in a loan agreement with an option to buy for £ 45 million.

Three more young people were also brought in for their academy; Daniel Batty from Manchester City, Luca Furnell-Gill from Liverpool and Reiss-Alexander Russell-Denny from Chelsea. Technical director of Tottenham, Johan Lange, says that the club is' very satisfied 'with their company, which gives Under-Fire Manager Ange Postecoglou additional support in the midst of Spurs' injury crisis.

“Tony [Kinsky] is a keeper that we have followed for a long time, “Lange started.” He was a target that we were considering before the summer, but because of the injury of Vicario we decided to see if we could move to January. It is a keeper who, despite his young age, is pretty proven. He has been in the Czech divisions in the Czech divisions in recent years.

“He is a very modern keeper and he is a keeper who fits our playing style. We have viewed him ten times since the summer and have all the details and knowledge of him as a character. We are very enthusiastic that he is now in the club and Of course he will come in and compete.

“The way we play, we need players who fit in that style and with Kevin he is a very good stylistic pass a good age and with experience so that he can play a role from the first day. I am sure his personality is one Large role will play in the dressing room in the future.

“Mathys is a fantastic talent. He is in a very unique group of players who have played a lot of football at a young age at a very high level. I think he played about 70 games in the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich and played 15 times in the Champions League already at the age of 19.

“He is a versatile attacking player who has the X factor. He will hopefully also bring excitement to the stadium and we can't wait to see him free up in our club, and hopefully we will share many great experiences together.”
