Tottenham ‘eye £80m summer swoop for England Under-21 star’

Tottenham looks at a £ 80 million summer according to a report.

Spurs may need reinforcements in the summer if they want to improve what a gloomy season has been in front of the Ange Postecoglou side, with only the Europa League that is left to play for.

They are now 12th in the Premier League table – stimulated by their 1-0 win over Manchester United at the weekend – but from the Carabao Cup and FA Cup after two defeats in a week.

Yet there could be hope before the summer with chairman Daniel Levy, who apparently is ready to spend great, also at the permanent arrival of Mathys Tel, who initially came on loan from Bayern Munich.

However, more attacking reinforcements can be on the road, with Dominic Solanke also signing £ 65 million from Bournemouth in the summer.

According to the sun, one star could be on its way to North Londs, in the form of three lion boy Jamie Gittens.

Gittens, 20, is currently playing for Borussia Dortmund in Germany, after he has made 91 performances for the first team since he became a member of Manchester City.

The attacker joined the Academy of City in 2018, after he also spent time with Reading and Chelsea, before moving to Germany and found a house to kick in his career.

Since the signing, he has brought his game to new heights and is reportedly also monitored by Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Mainly a left -sided forward, he is covered 11 times by the U21s of England, which was also on display at every age group until the younger than 15 years.

This year he became a fixture for Dortmund -Baas Niko Kovac, who makes 33 performances and scored 11 goals.

Dortmund, however, has fallen to the 11th in the Bundesliga table in a season of struggle and can be forced to cash in their valued assets in the summer.

A step from Dortmund to lift his career to the next level, would emulate recent movements from people such as Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
