Ange Postecoglou could get a large team addition this summer, but one with an unfortunate affiliate for the biggest rivals in Spurs.
Tottenham Hotspur has passed a difficult campaign of 2024/25, not helped by a series of injuries to important players. In recent years there has been some criticism of Spurs's transfer policy and they want to strengthen this summer, but one of their potential goals has an unfortunate conviction.
The sporty CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand will be known to some Spurs fans as the scorer of a brilliant long-distance goal for Denmark against England at Euro 2024. His dynamic displays in Portugal have won him a lot of leasers throughout Europe. Tottenham, however, is probably not his first choice of Premier League destination.
A Reddit post from last year shows Hjulman who is wearing a vest in sporting training, making it look like an old-school Arsenal-top tattoo on his left shoulder.
In an interview with Portuguese publication record, Hjulman revealed his Noord -London links: “My father supported Arsenal and we watched games together when we were younger.”
How much would Morten Hjulmand cost?
Although he made his professional debut in 2018, Hjulmand is still only 25 years old and it can fit well with the playing style of Postecoglou. The Danish midfielder impressed during a two -year -old Stint with Lecce and earns a move to Sport, where he has been in the past two seasons.
This season Hjulmand was promoted to club captain and he is an important part of Sporting. As such, his newest sports contract includes a huge release clause of € 80 million that Spurs will probably not pay. The current record transfer is the € 64 million that was paid for Dominic Solanke last summer, a striker with a considerable Premier League experience.
Transfertmarkt places the actual value of Hjulmand at around € 45 million, a much more realistic figure for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. But Sporting is at the top of the Liga Portugal, despite the departure in the middle of the season of head coach Ruben Amorim to Manchester United, so they will stop for large reimbursements if they choose to have Hjulmand leave in the summer.
