Tottenham ‘line up move for £50m-rated Premier League star’

Tottenham is said to be a transfer for Brentford Star Yoane Wissa this summer.

Wissa, 28, has developed into a formidable Premier League striker since he has arrived at the bees of Lorient for £ 8.5 million in 2021.

Wissa, who also won 33 caps for Dr. Congo, went to new level last season after the departure of Ivan Toney, with the 28-year-old scored 20 goals and added five assists in all competitions.

The form of Wissa has led him to have attracted interest from various clubs and in January Brentford was forced to refuse an £ 22 million offer from Nottingham Forest for his services.

And according to BBC Sport, Tottenham is now exploring a movement for Wissa, with new Spurs -Baas Thomas Frank who likes to be reunited with the attacker.

The report claims that Brentford is aware of the interest and that Wissa, which they appreciate at around £ 50 million, is open to member of the North London side.

However, the bees want to keep the 28-year-old, who has become increasingly important in view of the unrest they have confronted this summer.

In addition to Frank who became a member of Tottenham, keeper Mark Flekken moved to Bayer Leverkusen last month.

Brentford captain Christian Norgaard also closes a relocation of £ 12 million to Arsenal, while Man United has rejected several bids for Bryan Mbeumo, although the Cameroonian is expected to leave.

Elsewhere Keith Andrews, who was previously Brentford's Set piece coach, was appointed as a replacement for Frank and he will fulfill his first management role.

Five employees have also moved to Tottenham next to Frank.

Justin Cochrane, head of the performance Chris Haslam and first team analyst Joe Newton initially joined him before Nick Stubbings and Tom Perryman were added to the medical department this week.

In the meantime, Wissa has a year over to his contract, although Brentford is able to activate an option to extend it by another 12 months.

Towards the end of last season, Brentford's director of Voetbal Phil Giles said that he was 'relaxed' about the situations around Wissa and Mbeumo.

“I have a lot of insight, but that doesn't mean I will talk about it!” He said. 'No, in general, if I looked at a striker or a broad player like another club, they should be on a shortlist, you would imagine.

'But the number of clubs that she can sign is a small number worldwide, so time will learn or a club that needs or requires. At the moment we are quite relaxed. '

In addition to Wissa, Frank would like to bring in further attacking reinforcements and Mail Sport reported on Wednesday how Spurs had agreed a fee of £ 55 million with West Ham for the signing of Mohammed Kudus.
