Ange Postecoglou has two more years left on his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, but it is no secret that club heads will watch possible replacements this summer.
Postecoglou led Spurs to Glory in the UEFA Europa League last month, with which he ended the 17-year-old trophy-dried of the club and won his promise of 'Always' silverware during his second year.
The success of Tottenham in Europe, however, was in stark contrast to their Premier League form, which resulted in an embarrassing finish of the 17th place.
Postecoglou admitted before he went on a vacation after the season that he was not sure if he would still be in charge, the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
It has now been reported that Spurs made contact with Thomas Frank earlier this week, where the Brentford -Baas was recommended on a large scale as a strong candidate to take over from Postecoglou.
According to Foot Mercato, who claims that Frank discussed his vision of traces during the conversations, and identifying some possible transfer goals.
However, it is also noted that, although Frank is high on the shortlist of Tottenham van Managers, chairman Daniel Levy is considering various candidates.
Frank has been in charge of Brentford since October 2018. His only other job in senior management came between 2013 and 2016 with Danish club Brondby.
He won promotion with Brentford via the EFL Championship Play-Offs in 2021 and has since founded the West-London club in the top flight of England, with the finish of 13th, ninth, 16th and most recently 10th.
Frank's Premier League profit with Brentford is 35.53%, with a supervision of 54 victories, 38 draws and 60 losses in 152 games.
That is considerably lower than Postecoglou's Premier League-win-rate of 40.79%-a result of 31 victories, 11 draws and 34 defeats in two 38-game seasons but Frank worked with a team that cost much less than that of Tottenham.
Brentford finished 18 points better than Spurs last season.
The Europa League triumph from Tottenham, however, means that they participate in the top five of the Premier League – Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle – in the UEFA Champions League of next season.
