Tottenham seal first transfer under Frank amid Bryan Mbeumo battle with Man Utd

Tottenham has chosen to make Mathys Tel a permanent deal, while he completes his move from Bayern Munich with Thomas Frank now looking for Bryan Mbeumo

Tottenham has completed the signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on a permanent deal that used it on loan in January. The agreement gave the Premier League side the option to sign it this summer.

Thomas Frank has given up the movement and the French attacker has now signed a deal in North Londs for £ 30 million until 2031. He will be the first signing of Tottenham after he was bought by Ange Postecoglou to the club.

Tel debuted for the Tottenham as a replacement against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and then marked his first start with a goal against Aston Villa in a FA Cup loss. He made 20 performances in the past term.

Frank was hired earlier this week after years of impressive work in Brentford, where he brought them from the championship to the Premier League. He has the task of improving the domestic status of the club and has entered into behind his former player Bryan Mbeumo.

The Frenchman has just enjoyed his best season so far for the goal and his signing would be an important explanation given the interest of Manchester United. Spurs has launched a bid of £ 70 million to hijack the relocation of United, which falls to £ 65 million plus £ 5 million in add-ons. That is £ 10 million more than that of United.

Frank wants to take the 25-year-old to North London. Tottenham -chairman Daniel Levy wants to deliver the Cameroon International with the club that can offer Champions League football -something they can't do at Old Trafford. United, however, remains the preferred destination for Mbeumo.

The Danish boss has been working with Mbeumo since his arrival in Brentford from Troyes in 2019. United has already made two bids for Mbeumo, the most recent of which was a £ 60 million package worth £ 55 million plus £ 5 million in add-on last week. Brentford refused to accept it and left the door open for Spurs to come in with what could now be a decisive offer.

Frank will shoot in the 18-year-old Tottenham Center-Back Luka Vuskovic in the preseason, despite the widespread loan interest in the Croatian. Spurs agreed in a reported £ 12 million package agreement with Hajduk -split for the teenager, then 16, in September 2023 and they brought Man City and PSG to his signature.

Tottenham is not in a hurry to make a decision about his future, since countless clubs register their loan interest and they still have to exclude Vuskovic that may continue to be set as part of their first team Squadron for next season.
