Tottenham Wonderkid Lucas Bergvall has put Pen on paper about a contract extension with the North London side.
Bergvall, 19, signed last year for Spurs – after refuting the interest of the Spanish giant Barcelona – and drew a deal that ran until 2029.
After his impressive displays in the first team under Ange Postecoglou, the Sweden International has since signed a new contract extension with the club.
The new deal will see Bergvall's contract until 2031, while the North London side ties one of their valued assets for the future.
In a video on Spurs 'X account, Bergvall said:' Last year I chose to get here. This year I chose to stay here. Come on your tracks! . '
It is likely that the new salary from Bergvall will reflect his status as a player in the first team after he has quickly integrated himself on the side of Postecoglou.
Since he came to the club in a deal with a value of only £ 8.5 million, the teenager has made 45 performances in all competitions – one scoring and picking up four assists.
His only goal came in a 1-0 win over Liverpool in their semi-final collision by Carabao Cup, where he held a Dominic Solanke-Pass and shot an attempt in the net.
In his most recent appearance against Liverpool, however, the midfielder was killed by Sky Sports Pundit Gary Neville for his role in one of the goals of the hosts.
“Bergvall's header is terrible, it's pathetic,” Neville said on Sky Sports Commentary. “He half dives out of his head.
“I have no idea what he is doing. It was a free header and he finally looked it in his own box '.
After he rose as a Brommapojkarna by the ranks on the Swedish side, he joined Djurgarden in December 2022.
He would make his debut in the Swedish First Division, not long after his arrival and came from the bank during a 3-1 victory against his former side, Brommapojkarna.
Bergvall later made his first start for the club in May during a 1-0 win against Hacken, before scored three goals on 28 performances from midfield.
His performances in Sweden caught the attention of the Spanish giant Barcelona, but the teenager opted for a move to North Londs instead.
Although he signed at Spurs in February last year, he did not officially complete his move until the following summer.
Since then he has made four performances for his national side and has yet to score.
