Tottenham -midfielder Lucas Bergvall has signed a new contract with the club, less than a year after his arrival, to walk until 2031.
Spurs concluded a £ 8.5 million deal to sign mountainfall of the Swedish Allsvenskan -Kant Djurgarden in February 2024, although he only joined the Premier League club in July.
The 19-year-old wasted little time by nailing a place in the plans of Ange Postecoglou, and has appeared 45 times in all competitions in his debut season.
Only four players have appeared in more matches for Spurs this season – Pape Sarr (49), Pedro Porro, Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski (all 46).
Bergvall has made 21 of his performances of the bank, although he has still made an impact, recently became a regular starter in midfield and his first goal for the club scored in a 1-0 win on the first leg on Liverpool in the Semi-Final of the ELL Cup in January.
Although Spurs eventually left that competition with a 4-0 defeat of the second leg, they retain a chance of silverware in the Europa League, with Bodo/shines their semi-final opponents.
Prior to the first stage of that draw on Thursday, Spurs announced that Bergvall had agreed new conditions after he had signed a deal to walk until 2029 when he arrived for the first time.
