Liverpool threatens to lose Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk in the summer when the trio no longer has a contract, but not everything is arranged
Liverpool is ready to offer Mohamed Salah what he wants after he has removed the wage of Trent Alexander-Arnold from the books is claimed. Both men were without a contract in the summer, with the move from Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid, except confirmed.
In December, Salah established doubts about his future in the longer term at Anfield. “I am probably more out than in,” said the Egyptian after the wins of the Reds to Southampton for the turn of the year.
“You know that I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I have not received anything about my future.”
Salah, however, continued to show its value on the side of Arne Slot. This season he leads the Premier League in both goals and assists, and only needs five goals to match the career-best return of 32 that he placed in his first Liverpool season.
The Reds have pushed back against bids from Saudi Arabia to hold on to their leading scorer. Now, according to reports in Egypt, they appoint a final push to keep it in the neighborhood.
As reported by Masrawy (via the E -mail), the Reds have their offer above what was previously on the table. The outlet claims conversations between the club and the agent of Salah Ramy Abbas are “this time much more advanced than ever before”
Sources have told the publication that Alexander-Arnold's exit is an “important factor” in the last progress. Although no agreement was confirmed at the time of writing, Liverpool would be ready to meet the requirements of Salah.
Right back Alexander-Arnold will have a ready-made place in the Real Madrid team, which directly replaces Dani Carvajal right back, while the veteran brought himself back from serious injury and also serves as a long-term replacement for the passing range of the 39-year-old Luka Modric.
Former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher, however, offered a different theory behind the move. “I think Trent is a player who almost looks at himself like a brand, and that is not only he, many players do it now,” he said on the overlap.
“I go back to an interview that he gave at Sky Sports for Christmas, where he received five options that he would choose as the most important thing for you – Captain of Liverpool, win the Champions League with Liverpool, win the World Cup with England or win the Ballon d'Or – and he chose the balloon d'Or.
“He wanted to be the first full-back to win the balloon d'Or, and there is nothing wrong with having ambition, but that was not very good with Liverpool supporters.”
