Thomas Tuchel has told Jack Grealisk that he should play football regularly if he wants to force himself in the World Cup plans of England.
The future of Grealisk is currently uncertain, with reports that suggest that he will not be part of the World Cup team of Manchester City for the coming tournament.
The 29-year-old made only 20 Premier League performances last season, but only started seven of them, because he only played the season for 715 minutes.
He managed only one goal, against Leicester City in April, and one assist in the competition campaign.
Grealisk was also left on the couch during the 1-0 loss of the city to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final last month.
Tuchel still has to invoke Grealisk, who has 39 caps for England, with his last performance against Finland under Interim -Baas Lee Carsley and emphasized the importance of him that consistent playing time needed prior to the World Cup of next year.
“He must make himself available by playing,” said Tuchel. “I think it's one of his most important strengths.
“To go every three days and to get better and better with every minute he has in his legs. That is what is missing, nothing else.
“I love Jack because of his personality and, of course, his talent. He is a very unique player who can handle great pressure on the field. He is never shy of busy. It is the opposite.
“He grows in big matches, but he is a player who needs minutes and minutes and minutes and she just doesn't get very long. Nothing has changed.”
