Juventus is still a work in performance, said newly named head coach Igor Tudor, while his team is preparing for Roma in the form of Roma in the Olimpico Stadio on Sunday.
Tudor won his first match as a Juve manager against Genoa Last Time Out, with the goal of Kenan Yildiz enough to keep them in the race for the top four in the Serie A.
But they are confronted this weekend with a strict test against the Claudio Ranieri team, in which Roma won their last seven games in the Italian top flight.
They won four times in a row A matches in a row, but did not do this since between January and March 2016, when Luciano Spalletti was in charge.
Tudor himself wants to become the fourth Juve coach in the Serie A history to win both first two games, after having replaced another manager in the same season.
The last manager to achieve the performance was Ciro Ferrara in May 2009, with Carlo Ancelotti in 1999 and Teobaldo Depetrini the other two on that list in 1957.
Juve is fifth on his way to this weekend's action, and Tudor admitted that he did not realize that the size of the club's situation when taking the reins.
“I found the team at a bad time. Now we have picked ourselves up and started to pedal. How much time will it take? I don't know and nobody can know,” Tudor said.
“All life is a test. I expect a difficult match like everyone in the Serie A. You never make calculations in football. Every Sunday you have to give everything you have.”

Juve is unbeaten in Acht (W4 D4) of their last nine league games against Roma, with the only victory of Giallorossi in that period in the top flight that arrives in March 2023.
Roma and Juventus have signed their last two league matches and were able to attract three Series A matches in a row for the first time since December 1983 MshavH 1985 (Run van Vier).
Moreover, after the 0-0 table in the reverse match, the two teams were able to draw both Serie A matches for the first time since 2000-01.
Although Juve has a favorable record in this fixture, Tudor said that it would not be a decisive game in the race for the top four, with eight games of their season left.
“It is an important match, but not decisive … We will come across a team with a very good series of results,” Tudor added.
“We want to think of ourselves and do the things we are working on,” he added.
Tudor has credited the excellent form of Roma in the competition to Ranieri and said: “Ranieri has made the difference.
“There are problems everywhere because they have strong players,” he said.
Tudor said that Douglas Luiz and Andrea Cambiasso have returned from injuries and will be on the bench on Sunday, and added that Juventus Soldaat will continue despite the most important defender Federico Gatti who is sidelined with a calf bone fracture.
“It's a very important absence, but let's not cry. There are others who take his place,” Tudor added.
