The future of Igor Tudor as Juventus manager remains uncertain, but he believes that he has done a good job since his arrival to get the club out of a hole.
Tudor took over from Thiago Motta in March, with Juventus from the Champions League and Coppa Italia, and had also had two heavy Series A defeats.
Since then, the Croatian has only lost one in seven, with his side fourth in the rankings with two more games left, although his job is not safe, even if the team is eligible for the Champions League.
“Talking about my work is difficult. For me it was a good job given all the problems we had,” Tudor told reporters prior to Sunday's home game with mid-table Udinese.
“We played two games with 10 players [after red cards]. We played some good games, and we didn't deserve to lose against Parma [1-0 last month]. I have always had a good feeling after games.
“Then we must always be demanding and always try to win, but the team gave everything it could. When I arrived, the team was in the deepest hole.”
Tudor believes that it could have gone even better if injuries had not hindered his side.
“It's fair to say we've never had it [Federico] Gatti and [Teun] Koopmeiners rarely had [Andrea] Cambiasso and [Lloyd] Kelly available, “Tudor added.
“I think it's good to say things from my point of view. I don't want to apologize, but it's fair to say it. This team, if this is complete, is strong and can fight with everyone.”
Tudor has a contract until the end of this season. The club has the option to extend the deal for another year if Juventus is eligible for the Champions League, although it will be an obligation after 30 July.
The usual Italian media speculation about management changes has the leading coach of League-show Napoli, Antonio Conte, coupled with a return to Juve, where the former player of the club won three Series A titles as a manager, but Tudor has not worried.
“I live from day to day, I enjoy everything and I suffer,” Tudor said. “I want to feel the confidence of the players, and I feed myself with this.
“That's its beauty. I feel none other than anyone.”
Juventus is confronted with a struggle to hold fourth place, although they get a chance of 64.2% to end up there by the OPTA Supercomputer.
However, the fifth lazio placed is equal to 64 points and Roma one point behind, while Bologna and AC Milan also look at the last spot of Champions League.
However, the Bianconeri have a good record against Udinese, after they have won 12 of their last 15 Serie A matches against Udinese (D1 L2), and scored an average of 2.3 goals per match in the process.
Since 1994-1995, Juventus has confronted Udinese 28 times at home without taking a single draw (W22 L6). However, Juventus '16 stalemate this season are their most in a top campaign since 1955-56 (17).
