Turner signs Man Utd extension to 2028

Manchester United defender Millie Turner has signed a new three-year contract extension, the club confirmed on Friday.

The 28-year-old, who was a product of the United Academy, extended her stay until June 2028, which would bring her enchantment with the Red Devils up to 10 years.

Turner returned to United from Bristol City in 2018, when the club launched its professional ladies first team, and has since made 167 performances in all competitions, with only Ella Toone (180) more.

She was also part of the team that beat Tottenham 4-0 last May to secure the first major trophy of the club in the FA Cup final.

This season she played every minute in the Women's Super League, next to Maya Le Tissier and Phallon Tullis-Joyce, with United with the best defense in the competition.

They have kept 10 clean sheets and have only given nine goals, less than any other team.

Among all players in the competition, only Amber Tysiak and Guro Bergsvand (both 17) have made more blocks than Turner.

“Millie has been here since the beginning and she is an important part of the team,” said head coach Marc Skinner.

“She is part of my leadership group, but I still think there is even more growth.

“We have unfinished things and ambitions for success. She is hungry to keep improving and an important person in driving the high standards that we have as a club here.”
