Two clubs give hope to Barcelona in bid to earn €5m transfer windfall

Barcelona has to raise money if they are able to sign Marcus Rashford before the winter transfer window closes next week, but a deal looks difficult at this stage because Ansu Fati refuses to leave despite the fact that they don't have head coach Hansi Flick. However, other methods can be used.

Barcelona will soon receive € 4-5 million for the sale of Unai Hernandez to Al-Eittihad, and more money could come their way against the Deadline of next Monday. As reported by MD, AS Roma loves Mika Marmol as a replacement for Bayer Leverkusen-bound defender Mario Hermoso, who used to play for Atletico Madrid.

Marmol is currently in Las Palmas, who drew him from Barcelona in the summer of 2023. As part of that deal, both clubs took 50% of the player's rights home, which means that transfer costs would be distributed in the middle.

It is not only Roma who lies after Marmol, because a further report from MD has confirmed that Sevilla, who are long-term admirers of the 23-year-old defender. Los Nervionsen are looking for a new center-back, because Tianguy Nianzou is out for the rest of the season after an operation, while Marcao is also tipped for an exit in the next five days.

Marmol is an important player for Las Palmas, so it is no surprise that the club based in Gran Canaria has no plans to negotiate with interested parties just because a deal is unfavorable in the middle season, but because they are only half of the Half would receive the transfer costs. As such, nothing will happen unless someone activates the release clause of € 10 million in Marmol's contract.

Roma has offered € 7 million for Marmol, but Las Palmas will not admit. Barcelona will hope that a deal will be completed before the winter transfer window closes next week, because those extra funds can be valuable.
