Two Premier League clubs among sides keeping tabs on 18-year-old League One wonderkid impressing this season

Premier League clubs guard Bristol Rovers Whiz Kid Kofi Shaw.

The 18-year-old midfielder impresses scouts throughout the country with his technical skills and athletics in his breakout season with robbers.

The teenager initially went on loan to Yeovil Town before Christmas as a 17-year-old where he made a massive impression and scored two goals in the process.

He continued that form after he had been returned before he would take his loan by manager Inigo Calderon.

That seems to have been an astute decision because the Sterret has made a major contribution.

So much so that Brighton, Bournemouth and Burnley from the championship, among other things, keep a close eye on his development.

Calderon would like to play Shaw's rise to a fame and say that he wanted to protect the prospect of robbers. Calderon said: 'I don't want to give Kofi too much credit because I want to protect him. We can't hurry things and we have to make sure he enjoys his football.

“But he showed that he is a smart player, the penalty was to his quick thinking and I hoped that if the ball fall to everyone, it would be him.

“Physically he is not the strongest player in the world, but he is one of those players who do not make up for it by not being the strongest by being mentally faster and then he has quality on the ball.”

Shaw has made 10 performances for Rovers since he returned from his loan period in Yeovil in February, including seven starts.

When he called him out of his loan, Calderon revealed that he was a big fan of Shaw and he promised that he would “have his minutes.”

At Rovers, Shaw played 584 minutes and has earned playing time in their seven games.

Last October Shaw signed a contract with Rovers that holds him in the club until June 2027.
