Crystal Palace defender Tyrick Mitchell is receiving admiring looks from other Premier League clubs.
Mitchell, 25, is in good form, which could also put him back on England's radar as new boss Thomas Tuchel has a major problem at left-back.
Palace star Mitchell won two caps for England in March 2022 but has been out of the picture since but will now certainly be considered as Tuchel scours the Premier League for English talent.
Under contract until 2027, Mitchell is considered one of their key assets and has gone from strength to strength under Palace boss Oliver Glasner.
His performances have also attracted the attention of other Premier League clubs, while foreign clubs – including Atletico Madrid – have attended Palace matches.
The shortage of left-backs in England has become acute since the long-term injuries to Luke Shaw and Ben Chilwell fell down the pecking order at Chelsea. They have used Rico Lewis there and tried different options, but Mitchell could be a logical left-back choice if Tuchel is looking for other players.
Sven Goran Eriksson called Chris Powell out of the blue when he took charge of the England team in 2001.
Londoner Mitchell has been in the picture before, so given his performance it wouldn't be such a surprise.
In terms of revenue, Palace are looking to strengthen their attack with Liverpool winger Ben Doak – who starred on loan at Middlesbrough – and Millwall's England Under-20 star Romain Esse, both of whom are admired.
