Tyson Fury falls for Khabib Nurmagomedov UFC comeback hoax after ending his own retirement

It is becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish facts from fiction on the internet.

Tyson Fury is the newest victim of a hoax on social media involving MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The former UFC light weight withdrew after choking Justin Gaethje in October 2020.

Since then, fans have been pleading 'The Eagle' to complete a pension U-turn as Jon Jones Net did.

Tyson Fury cheated by Khabib Nurmagomedov Comeback video

In 2024, Nurmagomedov confirmed that there is 'no chance' that he will ever make a UFC co -pack.

Fury did not get that memo because he was duped by an AI video that was recently shared on social media.

It showed Nurmagomedov talking on Instagram Live about returning to fight to fight UFC Bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili and included the caption: “Khabib will return to the UFC and Vecht Merab!”

However, it was very clear that the voice of Nurmagomedov about old images was dubbed.

The video was even tagged as 'Silly Ai' by the maker, who decided to spread fake news.

It soon became clear that Fury had fallen for the Hoax when he had again granted the clip on his Instagram story and tagged the Nurmagomedov page.

Tyson Fury ends his retirement

Fury can be forgiven that he thought another combat port icon followed him from retirement.

'The Gypsy King' mentioned time on his boxing career after a second consecutive loss for Oleksandr Usyk last December.

Daniel Dubois is being booked to experience USYK on July 19 for all heavyweight world titles in London, England.

Nevertheless, Fury recently insisted that a date and location for his trilogy with USYK have been agreed.

“April 18, 2026, Wembley Stadium,” Fury wrote. “The trilogy! UK. Contact @spencerbrownmrgoldstar for tickets.” He also shared a photo of Turki Alalshikh with his story, with the caption “Let's see what 2026 brings.”

The shock announcement only came 24 hours after Fury stated that he was still retired.

It is currently unclear whether Fury versus Usyk 3 is a foregone conclusion or whether the Englishman manifests a shot at the redemption.
