With unparalleled agility for a man of his size, the 6-foot-1 giant had all the potential in the world to cement his position as one of the best ever.
However, his lack of dedication to his craft and selective selection of opponents caused the gifted athlete to fall far short of what he could have achieved, which is in a way ridiculous, because of how much he actually managed to achieve, but could have achieved . Had he taken that extra step, he would undoubtedly have broken into this list of legends.
5) Rocky Marciano
Granted, by today's standards Rocky Marciano wouldn't have been a heavyweight, but during the height of his powers, 'The Brockton Blockbuster' was truly the king of the big men.
The legendary fighter defined the term 'warrior' and made a reputation for never backing down, with a willingness to absorb every shot thrown his way, before crushing his opponents under an unrelenting wave of pressure.
With wins over Hall of Famers Ezzard Charles, Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore and Joe Louis, as well as an undefeated record of 49-0, which Roland La Starza might complain about due to the nature of their controversial first fight, it's still hard to argue that the icon doesn't deserve its place on the list.

3) Oleksandr Usyk
Of all the fighters on this list, Oleksandr Usyk might be pound for pound the best of the bunch. After all, this is a man who overcame a minefield of killers to become the undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world and lift the World Boxing Super Series trophy.
The only reason he isn't ranked higher among the heavyweights is the lack of time he spent in the division. However, during his performances against Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, he proved his talent beyond any doubt.
Although considerably smaller than the men in question, the Ukrainian dazzled, using his superior gas tank and sublime boxing IQ to cement his status as the all-time heavyweight.
