UCL supercomputer backs Arsenal to beat Real Madrid—but can they go all the way?

Arsenal has the lead over Real Madrid in their blockbuster Champions League quarter -final bend … according to Opta's supercomputer.

The Gunners Host of the Spanish giants of Carlo Ancelotti in the Emirates for the first stage of their last eight draw on Tuesday evening.

Real Madrid has won two of the last three editions of the Champions League and six of the last 11.

The men of Ancelotti overcome Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in Wembley Stadium in last year's final.

Despite the weight of history on the side of Real Madrid, Opta's supercomputer thinks that Arsenal has the scary edge in their draw.

The Gunners, who have never won the European cup in their history, get a 50.2 percent chance of reaching the semi -final, with Real Madrid at 49.8 percent.

Arsenal defeated PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregated in the final round, while Real Madrid Rivals atletico on penalties beat two legs after 1-1.

Both parties are second in their respective domestic competitions – Arsenal 11 points behind Liverpool and Real Four Off Barcelona.

The Gunners will have to do without important defender Gabriel after his seasonal hamstring injury last week – while Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kai Havertz and Riccardo Calafiori are all out.

Real Madrid can now be possible without both Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin with the 19-year-old Fran Gonzalez in the goal. Dani Carvajal, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ferland Mendy and former shooter Dani Ceballos will probably all miss.

The winner of Arsenal and Real Madrid will face Paris Saint-Germain or Aston Villa in the semi-final.

The French champions PSG are overwhelming favorites to continue through the Unai Emery team after he has eliminated Liverpool in the final round.

The side of Luis Enrique gets a probability of 71.3 percent to beat Villa and 36.2 percent of also beating Real Madrid or Arsenal to reach the final.

The Gunners are said to have a 29.5 percent chance of reaching the Munich final, with Real Madrid Eng behind 25.2 percent and Villa all the way back to 9.1 percent.

Barca is confronted with Borussia Dortmund in what is seen as the weaker side of the draw.

The side of Hansi Flick is overwhelming favorites to continue with 78.2 percent, compared to the 21.8 percent of Dortmund.

Dortmund is even seen as the least likely remaining team to win the competition, given only a shot of 1.5 percent of this.

Villa stands for the most important at 3.7 percent, while interesting enough Bayern Munich, the potential hosts, sixth are only 10.8 percent.

Harry Kane and Co compete against Inter in the quarters, with the finalists of 2023 just preferred in the tie by 51.5 percent compared to Bayern's 48.5 percent – with the winner to compete against Barcelona or Dortmund in the Semis.
