Manchester City would like to add to their defensive ranks under manager Pep Guardiola, who will lose Kyle Walker this summer. Udogie's experience in the Premier League and his ability to play on both flank are reportedly attractive for the city that will offer the young defender in the coming months.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Spurs will now resist all bids that are thrown to the 22-year-old for the new season.
“Understand that Tottenham absolutely wants to keep Destiny #udogie for the coming season.
“He is considered an important player in their team planning, which is why there is currently no price tag – despite interest from various top clubs.
“Instead, the club previously consider signing a backup for the 22 years on the left. His contract runs until 2030.”
Givemesport revealed that the position of Tottenham owner Daniel Levy about the interest of the city in Udogie would mean that they should increase a fortune because he does not want to improve a rival side. The Italian international has attracted the attention of Juventus and Levy is perhaps more inclined to agree a deal, because Udogie has a small chance of tackling his former side.
