UFC 317 has taken several beats with cancellations that influence the International Fight Week card.
The biggest setback was when the long -awaited middleweight collision between Paulo Costa and Roman Kopylov was moved for UFC 318.
A heavyweight matchup between Justin Tafa and Jhonata Diniz also fell off the card for a few weeks before the festivities in Las Vegas started.
With the Friday roads that was the last obstacle that was left, every fight was confirmed before 28 June, apart from a late notification.
After he arrived at 10 pounds for his middleweight outing, newcomer Christopher Ewert was immediately cut out of the selection without stepping on the scales.
Christopher Ewert vs. Jackson McVey is from #ufc317 after Ewert was over and was released, per Dan Hellie on the official weighting-ins show. Not great.

The coach of Christopher Ewert reveals that he was trying to cut 30 pounds during the UFC 317 Fight Week
The unbeaten Christopher Ewert was an addition of late notification to the UFC 317 card when he replaced Sedriques Dumas to tackle Jackson McVey.
Ewert fought for the last time in January and would be planned to appear in the coming season of the Contender Series by Dana White, with a matchup against Yuri Panferov planned before 12 August.
While his opponent stepped on the scales and hit the goal, the 31-year-old did not make it that far, where Dam Hellie announced during the weigh show that Ewert would not be present after being overweight.
Jon Anik later announced that the UFC newcomer was completely cut out of the selection, whereby his coach now gave more details about what went wrong.
Nolan King reported that the coach of Ewert, Javier Torres, claimed that when his hunter received the call on Tuesday, he weighed 217 pounds.
In an attempt at a drastic cut of 30 pounds in the short term, Ewert and his team could fall more than 20 pounds, but in the end they hit a road where his body would not fall further, forcing the UFC to cancel the fight.
Re: Christopher Ewert whose #ufc317 -fight was canceled earlier today:

Charles Oliveira calmed the worries of fans by successfully making light
After having lost his lightweight title on the scales, some fans were worried about the weight of Charles Oliveira for UFC 317.
Videos had been posted that could have been of an earlier cut, which some fans like 'Do Bronx' started the process rather than normal.
Ian Machado Garry described his teammate's cut as a “beautiful experience” and admitted in an interview on the Ariel Helwani show that it brought him into tears.
Oliveira successfully stepped on the scales at 154.5 pounds, which confirmed its lightweight title collision with Ilia Topuria that will give the map.
