Ateba Gautier is considered a very bright future in the UFC after scoring a brutal ko in his first outing in the promotion.
On UFC 318 on July 19, the promotion returns to New Orleans for an event characterized by one of the best in Louisiana, Dustin Poirier who will make his last appearance against Max Holloway.
With a victory over Holloway, Poirier was able to break a two-year record that is currently held by Drew Dober for most knockouts in the lightweight division.
And for 'The Diamond's' Retirement Fight, UFC boss Dana White Lyrical has waxed over Poirier and labeled him as 'all time-time times' for his incredible career in the sport.
The appearance on the main map is potentially the next large star in the middleweight, Ateba Gautier.

On July 19, Gautier will take on Robert Valentin, who is one of the most unique figures in sport and wants to jump back from back-to-back.
However, the Swiss hunter will have an extremely heavy task in his hands when he steps into the cage with Gautier, who has terrifying power and incredible athletics.
'The Silent Assassin' received his contract in the best promotion after scoring a big round two Ko on Dana White's Contender Series last September.
He was then booked to fight against Jose Medina at the UFC Mexico City Undercard earlier this year in what was considered a tough fight for Gautier, because Medina has shown his heart in the cage several times.
At the start of the fight, Gautier showed his well-completed skills base, with the help of his stairs good and was setting up his large power shots.
And then with just over a minute and a half of the first round, Gautier landed a huge knee on the chin of Medina, sinking him on the floor and scored a huge debut win.
Ateba Gautier could be the next middleweight star
A little less than a month after Gautier will take on Valentin at UFC 318, the title of the middle weight will be defended by Dricus du Plessis when he takes on Khamzat Chimaev in the Main Event of UFC 319.
After being compared to Francis Ngannou, Gautier will hope to impress the fan base and he can fought towards the end of the year by the end of the year.
