The UFC goes to New Orleans, Louisiana, for the next pay-per-view event on July 19. Why Louisiana? Two words: Dustin Poirier.
CEO Dana White confirmed that the UFC 318 card was being built around the pension fight of the former UFC -Interim -Light weight champion. In the final chapter of his legendary career, Poirier will meet BMF champion Max Holloway in a five-round trilogy.
Poirier recently told the complete violence that Louisiana rapper Lil Wayne will join him in his last walk-out to the Octagon.
Fighting on the pay-per-view card, one of Poirier's former enemies, also says he wants to walk outside with another 'Louisiana Legend'.

Michael Johnson wants angry Badazz for UFC 318 Walk-out, Dustin Poirier approves
UFC veteran Michael Johnson is the last hunter to eliminate Poirier with punches.
Two years after McGregor's knockout of Poirier on featherweight and seven years before the main kick of Justin Gaethje, Johnson Ko'ed Poirier in 95 seconds in the main event of UFC Hidalgo in 2016.
Almost ten years later, Johnson and Poirier fight on the same night. Johnson will clash with Daniel Zellhuber in what his 31st UFC fight will be.
Back-to-back victories over Ottman Azaitar and Darrius Flowers, Johnson asked UFC boss Dana White if he could walk to the Octagon with Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz on UFC 318.
“So if @dustinpoirier @liltunechi lets him run out, @BoosieOfficial are you busy on July 19 for @UFC 318?” Johnson wrote on X.
“Let's prepare my walk! @Danawhite.”
“Louisiana Legends,” Poirier said about the idea of his former enemy.
