UFC 319 fighter reacts to opponent’s second-straight weight miss that led to fight cancellation

Bryan Battle has missed the weight for back-to-back occasions in two different weight classes.

To say the least it has been a dramatic fighting week, because the UFC approaches the greatest fight of the year between middleweight Champion DRICUS DU PLESSIS and Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC 319 Main Event.

Three fights have been canceled in recent days, including a middleweight fight between Bryan Battle and Nursulton Ruziboev.

The fight was deleted after the weightings on Friday, after the fight the weight had missed by 4 pounds.

Battle also missed the weight with 4 pounds for his most recent fight against Randy Brown in December, who was at Welterweight, the division below.

His opponent, Ruziboev, did not last long to respond to his second weightmiss in a row.

Nursulton Ruziboev responds to Bryan Battle Missing Weight again

Ruziboev, a former welterweight itself, weighed on Friday morning in the middleweight limit of 186 pounds.

Ruziboev had agreed to fight the battle despite the weight miss and agreed to take a percentage of his opponent's wallet, but the plug was eventually pulled on the matchup.

Ruziboev was not a fan of Battle for Missing Weight or his comments from earlier in the week.

“Instead of talking too much, you first have to make the weight,” Ruziboev wrote about the battle on his Instagram story.

“This is a professional sports blondie,” Ruziboev added.

Bryan Battle blamed Nursulton Ruziboev for their fight on the early prelims

Before the cancellation, the battle was spoken about fighting on the early prelims, away from the pay-per-view section, which has more eyes.

The battle went so far to say that it was Ruziboev's fault that they were not on the main map.

“I should be on the main map,” Battle told Spinnin Backfist earlier this week.

“Yes, I should be on the main map … Nursulton drags me down. This is not the fault of the UFC, this is Nursulton's fault and he will have to pay for it!”

“Nursulton drags me down,” Battle continued.

“This is not the fault of the UFC, this is Nursulton's fault and he will have to pay for it …”
