The attacks continue to fall like flying from the UFC 319 -Line -Up.
After successive events in the Apex in Las Vegas, the UFC is back on its way to organize an event in Chicago for the first time since pre-pandemia.
And the promotion is on the way to the 'Windy City' with one of the best fights of the year in tow, because Khamzat Chimaev Dricav Du Plessis challenges the middleweight title in the curtain closer to UFC 319.
The expectation is high for Saturday's main event, but the Undercard of Du Plessis vs. Chimaev has been somewhat demolished in recent days …
Bryan Battle's second consecutive weight Miss costs him and his opponent their UFC 319 fight
The first three days of UFC 319 Fight Week were relatively drama -free. The most eyebrow increases was a walk -in between Du Plessis and Chimaev, but even that was nothing but respectful. However, the same cannot be said for the past days.
In addition to a raw UFC 319 press conference, the line -up of August 16 after the hit hit. After the withdrawal of King Green from his confrontation with fellow light weight veteran Diego Ferreira, one of the two TUF finals set for the map was postponed to Noche UFC in September.
And things didn't go on Friday when the hunters took the scales to weigh. It went without hitch on the main map, but the prelims evoked further damage when Bryan Battle four pounds came over the limit for his middleweight fight against nurse Ruziboev.
Although it was initially reported that the match would continue as a catch match, with 'The Butcher' who received 30 percent of his wallet, the UFC announced his cancellation shortly thereafter.
Second consecutive Time Battle Mist Weight. Except, the last time it was a ww -fight. He is so good in and out of the cage, but this will clearly hinder his growth as a hunter. I hope he discovers it. https://t.co/zaxd2zkr8

Bryan Battle previously missed weight as a 170-pounder
Friday's weight asked serious questions about the future of Battle in the UFC.
Battle, who won the middleweight tournament in season 29 of the Ultimate Fighter in 2021, had started making a Splash -Down Division after deducting victories on Kevin Jouset and Randy Brown. But a weight miss for his victory over the latter meant his second indiscretion on the scales in the space of five fights.
The 30-year-old not surprisingly pushed back to 185 pounds, but apparently he is no longer lucky in the heavier class when it comes to keeping his weight low.
It is still to be seen what the future has in store for 'The Butcher', but it is safe to say that this is a problem that should be solved if he wants to achieve his potential on MMA's largest stage.
