UFC commentators pay tribute to Mike Tyson’s most famous interview after rare foul committed at UFC Vegas 108

Tonight's UFC fights started with a Mike Tyson impression.

The Premier Promotion returns to the crowd -free UFC Apex after a trip to Abu Dhabi last weekend.

UFC Vegas 108 is led by the 16-1 Tatsuro Taira and the unbeaten Hyun Sung Park in a rare flying weight main event.

The card started in the strowegen division of the ladies between Piera Rodriguez and Ketlen Souza, where the UFC commentators joked about the big Mike Tyson half fight.

In the second round of their fight, Rodriguez had control of Souza on the floor.

On top, Rodriguez hit Souza's back a few times and the referee gave her a warning about touching her opponent's spine, which is illegal.

“Note the back!” The referee said twice.

“Spinal,” said UFC commentator Dominick Cruz after the warning, an impression of the famous interview by Mike Tyson where the superstar said he broke his back and claimed that his injury was “spinal.”

“Spinal,” repeated fellow commentator Michael Bisping.

Rodriguez defeated Souza through a split decision after three rounds.

Two decades before he hit Jake Paul on Netflix, 'Iron' Mike took his last victory in the Ring in February 2003.

Tyson quickly made work by Clifford Etienne, Tko'ing him in 49 seconds for what his 50th and last pro victory would be. Despite the victory, Tyson was not in the best form.

Tyson after the fight delivered one of the most iconic interviews in combat sports.

“I broke my back,” Tyson said.

“My back is broken,” Tyson added.

“Spinal!”
