Rayo Vallecano considering move to sign Real Madrid star in January
Despite the fact that Real Madrid do not have players like Eder Militao, David Alaba, Aurelien Tchouameni and Jacobo Ramon available due to injury, Carlo Ancelotti is not counting on Jesus Vallejo as a central defensive option. The 28-year-old lines up alongside Antonio Rudiger and Raul Asencio as centre-backs in the first team, but despite the latter only making his debut two weeks ago, he is preferred over Vallejo.
Vallejo is not being counted on at all by Ancelotti, and if a new centre-back is signed in January, it would not be a surprise if he is moved on. Even if someone doesn't participate, he can still go because Alaba, Tchouameni and Ramon will be back by then.
Rayo Vallecano will be hoping to take advantage of the situation as Arturo Diaz (via ED) has reported that they are interested in completing a deal for Vallejo during the winter transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid are willing to part ways with Vallejo. For now, it seems certain that he will leave sometime in 2025, although his departure may be postponed until the summer.
