The UFC brings their next event to Des Moines for a huge map, for only their third trip to Iowa in 25 years.
With Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figueiredo who both come into this fight after devastating losses, they will be more motivated than ever to jump back in title conflicts with a victory.
Sandhagen recently lost to Umar Nurmagomedov, while Petr Yan defeated FigueIredo to end his three-fighter wintreak for this main event collision in the Moines.
Elsewhere, the CO-Main event Reinier de Ridder and Bo Nickal sees their unbeaten records on the line in a middleweight meeting.
De Ridder is 13th in the ranking, so Nickal hopes to jump in the top 15 with a victory, which would be his fifth consecutive victory since debuting in the UFC.
In anticipation of UFC des Moines, the Bloody Elbow experts have picked their staff for the two main events, as well as the performance of the night and their fight for the night.

Cory Sandhagen vs DeVeson Figueiredo prediction
- Jordan Ellis – Cory Sandhagen
- Kyle Dimond – Cory Sandhagen
- Jamie Theodosi – Cory Sandhagen
- Donagh Corby – DEIVESON Figueiredo
The bloody elbow experts cannot agree on who will win the main event of the UFC des Moines. Jordan, Kyle and Jamie support Sandhagen to beat two -time flying weight champion Figueiredo while he seems to return to the title.
With the pair that is 4th and 5th respectively in the ranking, it should be a competitive fight that everyone could go. With Sandhagen who returns after his defeat for Nurmagomedov, this could be one of his last chances to compete in the title.
However, Donagh does not think he will do that. He supports Figueiredo to win the fight and jump Sandhagen in the ranking of Bantam weight. As a former champion, he knows what it takes to be the best and will want to add to his 24 career victories in des Moines.
Bo Nickal vs Reinier de Ridder -forecasts
- Jordan Ellis – Bo Nickal
- Kyle Dimond – Bo Nickal
- Jamie Theodosi – Bo Nickal
- Donagh Corby – Bo Nickal
This fight seems to be clearly cut, according to the bloody elbow experts. They can't all look beyond Nickal, who made an impression in his first four fights in the UFC so far.
With the two entry of Nickal and one knockout victory in four, he seems to be a dominant power in the middleweight division and a future title -seconder.
While the Dutchman has been his own streak of his own streak on a two-fogging streak since he debuts in UFC last year, the 34-year-old simply does not look like he needs what is needed to give Nickal his first loss in his professional career.
Vecht van de Nacht
- Jordan Ellis – Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Daniel Rodriguez
- Kyle Dimond – Jeremy Stephens vs. Mason Jones
- Jamie Theodosi – Jeremy Stephens vs. Mason Jones
- Donagh Corby – Santiago Ponzinibbio vs. Daniel Rodriguez
Two battles stick to the bloody elbow experts as those to watch on Saturday night. Jordan and Donagh both think that Santiago Ponzinibbio -fight with Daniel Rodriguez will talk about when the event is ready
The two experienced watter weights are loyal of the division, but have difficulty impressing in recent years. With both men who win and lose in the past with spectacular knockouts, this fight has the potential to be the most exciting on the UFC des Moines card.
However, Jamie and Kyle think that Jeremy Stephens vs. Mason Jones The one is to pay attention. The resident of Iowa Stephens will compete on home grass, four years after his last Stint UFC appearance.
With Jones who won three of his last four battles via Knock -Out, he was able to bring a filthy end to the favorite of the hometown and expand his winning series to 4.
Performer of the Night
- Jordan Ellis – Mason Jones
- Kyle Dimond – Smotherman
- Jamie Theodosi – Sandhagen
- Donagh Corby – Mason Jones
Three different choices for performer of the Night shows the incredible depth of hunters on the UFC des Moines card.
Jordan and Donagh both support Welshman Jones to earn the reward of $ 50,000. He looks in good shape to eliminate Stephens and to shock the crowd of the birth city by hitting him in an impressive way in Iowa.
Elsewhere, Kyle thinks that Cameron Smotherman will make an impression against Serhiy Sidey in their Bantamweight conflict. He comes from a big victory of his UFC debut and hope to add his record against the Ukrainian on Saturday.
Finally, Jamie supports the main event to produce the best performance of the night. Sandhagen has a lot to prove in his fight with Figueiredo and will have to do a bonus-winning version if he wants to store the Brazilian in the Moines.
