UFC fans call for another member of the Fighting Nerds to be signed after devastating one-punch KO

2025 has been a long year for one of the most discussed teams in MMA, but they have just started.

The fighting nerds from Brazil were one of the greatest success stories in 2024, but in the coming months they will step into a whole new spotlight.

Mauricio Ruffy already kicked their year with his knockout about King Green, who probably leads the way for the best knockout that has taken place in the Octagon since January.

Jean Silva is the next one when he opposes Bryce Mitchell is in a very tense affair at UFC 314 this Saturday that was previously set to share the map with Carlos Prates.

'The Nightmare' had canceled his matchup with Geoff Neal, but he only got an even greater fight due to prates that was now in the main event of UFC Kansas City against Ian Machado Garry.

The Fighting Nerds team has not only achieved success in the Octagon, they have won on dominant fashion with extra style points that have been picked up on the way.

One of their hunters was recently in action at Future MMA 14 in Brazil on April 6 with Magno Dias who kicked the map against Alessandro Albuquerque.

Dias is 28 years old with a record of 5-1 that comes in this fight, with four entry victories under his belt with various gaps of inactivity in his career.

With a nickname such as 'The Violence' it was certainly only a matter of time before he produced his first knockout victory and when it came, it was certainly one to remember.

Dias has participated in various weight classes, but his striking seemed to be incredibly sharp in this Bantam weight match in the Expocentro.

After ruthlessly walked his opponent in the second round, his pressure threw his pressure while he landed a huge fast ball judge who closed the show with one shot.

Fight fans responded at the peak by calling him to get a chance in the UFC and seeing how many momentum is currently behind this team, it does not seem unlikely.

“Wow. Give EM a fight on a Tuesday evening in August,” said one user, while the other generally commented on the team by saying: “These nerds are really bad.”

“I take everyone who actually fights. The UFC is in a boring phase.”

The claim that 'UFC is in a boring phase' has some weight behind it

The UFC Vegas 105 event last weekend was the fourth card in a row not to receive a fight from the night bonus.

There are still a number of impressive performance spread over the past month, but between UFC 313 and UFC 314 on 12 April the promotion certainly took a dip.

Several factors can be fault, but at least with the fighting nerds fighting in the upcoming events, fans are fighting that they will have something special.

The UFC has always given priority to the signing of hunters who put opponents away and give everything they have, but that has not translated well into the Achthoek lately.
