UFC fighter justified brutally injuring rival in controversial 42-second submission by claiming she was ‘too polite’

On this day in 2022, the UFC 276 pay-per-view was opened with one of the most brutal submission in recent memory.

The leading promotion of MMA has recently completed the International Vechtweek in Las Vegas, a party that ended with Ilia Topuria that switched off Charles Oliveira in the UFC 317 Main Event.

The festivities to finish marked the 13th edition of International Fight Week. But not much have been more memorable than the 10th celebration in 2022.

That saw the T-Mobile Arena-Gastheer UFC 276, where Alex Pereira Sean Strickland eliminated to earn his shot in Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski one of the best title fights of all time to close his trilogy with Max Holloway.

And the memorable action on that night started from the very first fight, when fans were left behind …

Julija Stoliarenko was 'too polite' in MMA fights before he wounded UFC 276 brutally

Before Dricus Du Plessis, Ian Garry and Maycee Barber made the provisional map, UFC 276 started with a Bantamweight conflict between Julija Stoliarenko and Jessica-Rose Clark.

A year before Stoliarenko Molly McCann submitted in London, the Lithuania used her Jiu-Jitsu skills to force a quick tap of Clark.

But it wasn't fast enough.

After locking an arm bar in the opening minute, Stoliarenko let her Australian rival frantic. A slow intervention by the referee gave Stoliarenko sufficient time to disrupt Clark's elbow in a horrible way.

After the fight, the 32-year-old brutally explained to her that some anti-aircraft caught-by admitting that she had been “polite” in earlier fights, which means that she would not show grace on UFC 276.

“I already had problems with submissions in Jiu-Jitsu fights and MMA fights where I do it too much, so I always just get it because of all the movement. This is our game, we have to do that stuff.”

Jessica-Rose Clark criticized Julija Stoliarenko for holding UFC 276 entry

Clark addressed her supporters after the result in a video posted on Instagram after he was fired from the hospital.

The Australian revealed that she would need surgery to repair the damage that she suggested that Stoliarenko did not let it go after she had finished.

“She has done a really good job by staying with Armbar after I had ticked,” said Clark.

“But that's fine, it's what it is. … I felt great. I still cried all the time that I was in the hospital, but I feel good.

“I am understandably deeply sad, but I did everything well this camp.”

Clark returned 10 months later and lasted until round three before he was submitted via coded choke by Tainara Lisboa at UFC Charlotte.

After leaving the promotion, the 37-year-old has since won back-to-back Muay Thai attacks and has recently made a successful debut under Mike Perry's Dirty Boxing Banner.
