Dana White may have stated that Jon Jones will return to action in the summer – but until a real announcement has been made, the heavyweight title photo will get stuck.
Fortunately, a top candidate has an idea of how the promotion could figure out who should be the next one for the final winner of Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall … a good old -fashioned Grand Prix.

Is the UFC heavyweight division naturally 'superficial'?
In February Joe Rogan shared a great concern about the UFC Heavyweight Division, where the popular commentator claimed that the weight class had become “so superficial” in recent years.
Bloody Elbow recently overtaken the British heavyweight Ster Mick Parkin, who will compete in UFC London next weekend about Rogan's comments about the depth of his division.
“It is superficial as there are not many hunters,” explained the 10-0 prospect, with the UFC Roster Watch website that currently states 33 active heavyweights: the one from all weight classes.
'But it's also the most [entertaining division] Because you could let it enjoy that someone will win this weekend, such as 'he will definitely win' – and he can [still] Be eliminated by the other man.
“So it's hard to judge, but yes, it's superficial there, not many people … that's clear why it is, there are just not so many of us – which is also good for me, I can get there [to the top] A little faster. “
Only one division has less active hunters than heavyweight, that is the Bantamweight Division for women.
