UFC comes to Kansas City with a huge welter weight match to head the long -awaited event.
The main event sees a heated collision between Ian Machado Garry and Carlos Prates. It is less than a month after Machado Garry vs. Prates from UFC 314 was taken and the header in UFC Kansas City received.
In the meantime, the CO-Main event Anthony Smith sees competing in his last fight ever. The UFC veteran withdraws after his 60th MMA fight, hoping to go out with a victory against Zhang Mingyang in a fight that no one had expected.
Elsewhere on the map, Giga Chikadze and David Onama are opposed in a collision of featherweight division. After losing to Calvin Kattar and Arnold Allen, Chikadze hopes to build a little more Momentum while facing a man with a three-fighter profit reak in UFC.
In anticipation of UFC Kansas City, the experts of Bloody Elbow have opted for their winners for the two main events, as well as the performance of the night and their fight of the night.

Ian Machado Garry vs Carlos Prates Prediction
- Jordan Ellis – Ian Machado Garry via Ko
- Donagh Corby – Ian Machado Garry via entry
- Kyle Dimond – Ian Machado Garry via decision
- Jamie Theodosi – Ian Machado Garry via decision
The bloody elbow experts all agreed that Machado Garry will leave the victory from Kansas City, although the way of his victory is disputed.
Kyle and Jamie see him go the distance against prates. The Brazilian is known to win his victories through Knock -Out, where no one knows for sure how he will do it in a full 5 round fight. The fight that goes as long as possible should work in favor of Machado Garry, as 'the future' won through the decision of the judges in 6 of his 9 victories in the UFC.
Prates has accused Machado Garry of being boring that Jordan and Donagh do not see him. The Irishman was criticized because he was unable to complete fights so that he could take that doubt and make it a dominant victory to talk to his first UFC loss.
Anthony Smith vs. Zhang Mingyang prediction
- Jordan Ellis – Zhang Mingyang via Ko
- Donagh Corby – Anthony Smith Via Ko
- Kyle Dimond – Anthony Smith via entry
- Jamie Theodosi – Anthony Smith Via Ko
The other main event of the night gives fans the chance to say goodbye to a legend of the Octagon in Smith's last fight in his career. Three of the four experts think that his 60th fight will end in a victory, unable to see Mingyang as something else than another victim of “Lionheart”.
Smith is known for his grit and resilience during his career and will want to go out in the same way. Our experts let him win by Ko or Submission, which he needs all his cunning and heart to make a reality against Mingyang.
However, Jordan thinks this is too far a fight for Smith. Mingyang is unbeaten in his first two UFC fights and wins both with the first round knockouts. With Smith, who loses 3 of his last 4 fights, he is in poor form in the first, and the man 10 years that his junior can benefit in Kansas City.
Vecht van de Nacht
- Jordan Ellis – Randy Brown vs Nicolas Dalby
- Donagh Corby – Matt Schnell vs Jimmy Flick
- Kyle Dimond – Giga Chikadze vs David Onama
- Jamie Theodosi – Michel Pereira vs Abus Magomedov
Four different choices for the fight of the night show the incredible depth of the card for UFC Kansas City. Jordan supports the welterweight collision between Randy Brown and Nicolas Dalby to impress. Both men come into their last fight and will fight hard to make it not two defeats in a row.
In the meantime, Donagh thinks Matt Schnell vs Jimmy Flick will bring the most excitement to Kansas City. This undercard flying weight contains two experienced hunters who have not fought since last year and apparently retired from the Octagon. They cannot be told what this fight could bring.
Elsewhere, Kyle is looking forward to seeing Chikadze and ONama fighting in the Octagon. Onama could rise in the top 15 ranking by beating the 12th rank, and hope that Chikadze recent struggles will help him achieve one of the biggest victories of his career so far.
Finally, Jamie voted for Michel Pereira vs Abus Magomedov to be the fight of the night in UFC Kansas City. Although both men can miss endurance, it can cause a sprint finish in this fight that will bring great excitement to fans.
Execution of the night
- Jordan Ellis – Ikram Aliskerov
- Donagh Corby – Ian Machado Garry
- Kyle Dimond – Ikram Aliskerov
- Jamie Theodosi – David Onama
Another mixed bag of picks from the bloody elbow experts for the performance of the night, although both Jordan and Kyle Ikram Aliskerov and their choice have chosen. The fighting of the Russian has been full of excitement since he came to the UFC because he won or lost by knockout in those dramatic trips.
Elsewhere Donagh cannot see Machado Garry after predicting an impressive victory victory for the Irishman. So far he has only one entry victory in his career, so a victory that way would certainly ensure a performance of the night.
Finally, Jamie thinks that ONama will do a good performance in UFC Kansas City, which contributes to his 3-Fight win-streak while looking for the rankings of featherweight on Chikadze costs.
